Hey guys!
We finally added all of Mom’s notes from this year’s vacation, so be sure to check those out. I also revamped the web album–I added pictures from vacation, and I also put up pictures of our house and my dorm. Look for birthday and Christmas pictures soon!

Merry Christmas!
Love,

We left the camera in the truck, but here’s a picture to tide you over until we can post more (this is Lake Lousie). Zach should be updating Mom’s notes tonight, too.
Well, today we went through Banff National Park–it is beautiful! There are lots of waterfalls coming down from the glaciers. We saw 2 falls with TONS of water rushing down them (they were really cool, even though the water was ucky brown). Not as much wildlife as we had hoped–2 black bears and an elk. We all really enjoyed riding through the park. It’s one of the prettiest places I’ve ever been. Tomorrow, we are going back to Montana (to the camper) and then we are off to Yellowstone!

We are staying outside of Banff tonight (in Canmore, Alberta). We drove through Glacier Natiional Park yesterday and this morning on the way here. It is amazing!! We saw two young-ish grizzly bears beside a really pretty lake, then they jumped in and started fighting. We rode through part of Banff National Park this afternoon (up to Lake Louise), and we are going to spend all day there tomorrow. We are really looking forward to it. Im posting more pictures on the google ablum, so be sure to check that out!

P.S.-Zach and I finished the Harry Potter book, and we both really liked it!

Tonight we are in Seattle. It was pretty nice when we came in yesterday, but it has drizzled all day today. We did the Space Needle, toured Chittenden Locks and saw some Salmon swim up the fish ladder, went to Klondike Gold Rush National Historic Park (Seattle Unit), and we went to a really cool toy store called Archie McPhee. We can see the Space Needle from our hotel window. Last night we did a ferry boat ride to Bainbridge Island at sunset–it was really pretty. In the morning, we are heading to Montana and we are meeting up with Granny and Grandpa.

We made it to Portland yesterday. It rained off and on all day, but we were able to see waterfalls in the Columbia River Gorge, and the sun came out long enough for us to play on the beach for a while. We will be in Portland today, and off to Seattle for tonight. Check out the main page (http://www.ronsgang.com) for the first of Sheila’s famous road trip notes.

Tonight we are in Salt Lake City, Utah. We toured the Mormon Tabernacle, Assembly Hall, and Convention Center this afternoon. The buidings are beautiful! The Jesus statue only talked to us in English, though. Supposedly it speaks 20 languages. We got a demo of the acoustics in the Tabernacle–we sat in the back, and we could hear someone in the front rip a newspaper. It sounded like they were sitting right next to us! Salt Lake is a very pretty town–lots bigger than we thought. We’ll try to post Mom’s travel notes as soon as we can.
-Love,
Sarah
